The adaptive brake light improves the active safety as it provides a better signalling effect during emergency stops.

In the event of an emergency stop, all three brake lamps start blinking. This provides a warning to all traffic behind the vehicle and helps shorten the drivers' reaction time. If the vehicle is brought to a complete standstill, the hazard warning lamps switch on automatically.
